This project involved solving a whole bunch of extremely interesting tasks and bringing in multiple cutting edge technologies. CheckLive is a sports resource and a bookmaker shop providing a host of information about all kind of sports events starting from football and ice hockey to tennis and boxing. Visitors can bet on outcomes of certain matches. The volume of information we have to structure was literally overwhelming. So developing an aggregator that merges scattered sports information into an easy-to-comprehend form was one heck of a task. CheckLive is a popular resource targeting massive audience. This meant we needed to provide as much transparency as we could. Easy authentication, social network integration, one-click bets and so on. Users can make their predictions, publish articles, communicate with other users, like or dislike certain content. An automatic notification system warns a user if something interesting happens. And for newbies, we developed an automatic statistics-based prognosis system to help making the best bets. CheckLive aims to attract not only sports betting fans, but everyone who loves sports. That’s why we have enveloped video reviews, live online broadcasts and expert and user-made analytics into a light-weight design with the majority of functions available in a couple of clicks. And of course, the entire functionality of the site including bets and live video is available on mobile devices too.
